Olivier has work experience as an intern at the military mission of the French embassy in Berlin, a desk officer for Germany and central Europe at the directorate for strategic affairs of the French MoD, a project assistant at the Geneva-based Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF), a research assistant for the Defence and Military Analysis Programme of the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), and a trainee at NATO. He is an associate researcher with the Paris-based Strategic Research Institute Ecole Militaire (IRSEM) and an officer (lieutenant, junior grade) in the French navy reserve.
