Biographical details

Paul Luff’s first degree was in Computer Science at the University of York. Subsequently he became interested in how technologies could be designed so that they could be more sensitive to the everyday practices of participants. This interest involved a consideration of sociological methods and approaches and led to a PhD in Sociology from the University of Surrey. Before joining King’s College he worked at the Rank Xerox Research Centre (EuroPARC) at Cambridge, where the Work, Interaction and Technology Group was founded.
