I am interested in how neuronal responses to injury lead to chronic pain. My approach is to integrate in vivo and in vitro models to understand the cellular and molecular underpinnings of pain signalling. We have developed a microfluidic culture system to study neuronal injury and the role of growth factors in pain associated hypersensitivity.
