Sally Everett is Professor of Business Education for Kings Business School, Kings College London. She is leading on areas including: assessment and feedback, a new peer review and observation scheme, teaching quality, student voice, and HEA Fellowship recognition for staff.
She was previously Deputy Dean for Business and Law at Anglia Ruskin University 2013-2018. She is a National Teaching Fellow and is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She was the chair of the disability working group / inclusive champions at Anglia Ruskin University which drove forward its inclusive curriculum, and was co-lead of the Women’s Network steering group promoting gender equality and women in Higher Education leadership and was co-lead of its staff BME network.
Dr Everett was Senior Lecturer in Tourism at the University of Bedfordshire (UK), before becoming its Head of Tourism, Leisure and Sport Management, and then the Head of Marketing, Tourism and Hospitality. In 2013, she became the Deputy Dean for the Business School at Anglia Ruskin University with responsibility for learning, teaching, quality and curriculum development. Dr Everett was also an Executive Officer and Treasurer of the Leisure Studies Association (2009 – 2014) and has worked for a large heritage visitor attraction as its Development Officer (2003-7). Her research interests include innovation in business education, food tourism, visitor management and heritage interpretation. Dr Everett has recently published work on student engagement with industry gatekeepers and emotional labour, has published a textbook on food and drink tourism with Sage Publications, and has led funded projects on web-based solutions for sustainable development and another that designed online distance learning materials for the travel and tourism sector.
