Personal profile
Research interests (short)
I am an applied economist, with a background in industrial and public economics, and quantitative methods.
My current research primarly focuses on the intersections among public policy, the development of culture and creativity, and societal outcomes. Within this area, I study the role of funding to the arts & culture, the role of censorship and cultural supply, the role of public institutions, e.g., libraries.
Previously, my research on the creative and cultural sector has also covered aspects around internationalisation, access to finance and innovation in the creative industries, as well as investigating cultural consumption during the COVID-19 pandemic.
I have been Co-Investigator of the ESRC-funded “Sustainable Cultural Futures project” (Project Lead Prof Hye-Kyung Lee).
