Biographical details
Sam develops analytical pipelines for functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) and high-density diffuse optical tomography (HD-DOT) data as part of the INDiGO Trial. For these data his work has the dual aims of (i) determining optimal combinations of existing signal processing approaches and (ii) the development of novel statistical analysis techniques utilising methods from functional data analysis, a branch of mathematical statistics. He completed an MSc in Brain Imaging at the University of Nottingham in 2018, building on an MMath in Mathematics from the University of Leeds (2014).
