Personal profile

Biographical details

Welcome! I am a Lecturer in Optimisation at the Department of Mathematics of King's College London. Previously, I was a Lecturer in Mathematics at the School of Science and Engineering of the University of Dundee, and before that, a postdoctoral research associate at Yale University, hosted by Dr. Dionysis Kalogerias.

I received my PhD in Optimization and Operational Research from the University of Edinburgh, where I was advised by Prof. Jacek Gondzio (primary) and Dr. John W. Pearson (secondary). Prior to this, I received a BSc in Informatics and Telecommunications from the University of Athens, and an MSc in Operational Research with Computational Optimization from the University of Edinburgh.

Research interests (short)

My research interests lie in the fields of continuous optimization, computational mathematics, and risk-aware decision making. I focus on the analysis and development of models and associated efficient algorithms for the solution of nonlinear (possibly non-smooth and/or stochastic and/or black-box) optimization problems, with applications in operational research, data-science and engineering
