Research interests

Tang-Ling is a recipient of the Taiwanese Government Scholarship for Overseas Study. She achieved a Bachelor of Fine Arts in the National Taiwan Normal University and a Master of Arts in the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She had worked as a civil servant for six years in the Cultural Affairs Department, New Taipei City Government and the Ministry of Culture, Taiwan. Her PhD research, Taiwan's Cultural Diplomacy and Overseas Contemporary Art Exhibitions, has been developed under her professional experience as a policy practitioner. It looks into the policy process of Taiwan's cultural diplomacy under the framework of cultural policy, with a particular focus on the organisation and presentation of overseas contemporary art exhibitions. 

Her research interests are interdisciplinary, including cultural policy, cultural diplomacy, public policy, art management and Taiwanese contemporary art.
