Research interests

My research interests are in the area of youth and community work, education policy, sociology of childhood and youth, resistance and alternative practice. I have published book chapters and journal articles in the field of youth work and policy. My PhD explored the experiences of part-time and volunteer youth workers in a changing policy context. I draw on critical research and theory from a number of areas including education policy sociology, feminism, anarchism and activist scholarship.
