Miss
Tianran got her Bachelor's degree of science from Ocean University of China (OUC) in 2010. She was one of the undergraduate students(less than 1%) at OUC using 3 years (usually 4 years) to get the BS degree. She then got her Master degree of science from OUC in 2013. Her research on aerosol iron solubility was presented on Surface Ocean - Lower Atmosphere Study (SOLAS) open scientific conference, which was prized as one of the best posters. She entered King's since September,2013 as a geography MPhil.
Biomass burning in east China: implication on regional air quality and chemical transporting
Member of the Earth and Environmental Dynamics research group.
Tianran's research interest is to improve the estimation of aerosol emission from wildfires by combining the Fire Radiative Power (FRP) method with field study. Then the updated emission data will be input in the model to study on the impact on air quality and regional atmosphere environment.
In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. This person’s work contributes towards the following SDG(s):
