Research interests (short)

We combine wet-lab molecular and cellular biology approaches with advanced computational tools to address problems in diabetes. We are interested in how transcriptional regulation of gene expression controls pancreatic beta cell identity and how this is dysregulated by metabolic stress. We have a particular focus on the role of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) in maintaining cell identity.
