Biographical details

Professor Vicky Goh was educated at Cheltenham Ladies' College and obtained her medical degree from the University of Cambridge. She trained in General Medicine and Radiology in London, completing a Fellowship in Cross-sectional Imaging at Toronto, Canada. Her MDRes (University of Cambridge) examined the role of Perfusion CT in colorectal cancer. She joined Kings College London and Guy's & St Thomas' Hospitals in 2011 as Chair of Clinical Cancer Imaging and Honorary Consultant Radiologist. She has served as Head of Department, Cancer Imaging, School of Biomedical Engineering and Imaging Sciences since 2017.

She is past president of the European Society of Oncologic Imaging and past Chair of the Academic Committee at the Royal College of Radiologists. She leads the Workforce Group of the NIHR Imaging Group and sits on the steering committee of the NIHR Imaging Group. She is also a member of the steering commitee of the European School of Radiology and an active member of the European Society of Radiology, where she sat on the Research Committee and chaired the Undergraduate Education Sub Committee. 

She is currently Senior Deputy Editor of Radiology.

Research interests

  • Multimodality functional imaging of gastrointestinal, urological, haematological and lung cancers.
  • Multi-parametric, multi-modality imaging biomarker development and assessment of tumour heterogeneity.
  • Development of novel methods to improve imaging assessment & prognostication of cancers including using artificial intelligence.
  • Multicentre clinical trials: As the chief or co-investigator of a number of trials; provision of central imaging review; independent data monitoring and trial steering committee membership.
