Victoria K. Pistivsek, AFHEA (email: [email protected])

Her PhD project is concerned with questions of "Masculinity, Politics, and Laughter in Post-2016 American Television." Her research interests broadly include Contemporary Television and Film, US and Global Popular Culture, Feminist and Gender Studies, Cultural and Critical Theory, Star and Celebrity Studies, Digital Media and Internet Culture. 

At King's College London she is employed as a GTA in the Department of Film Studies and the Department of Culture, Media & Creative Industries and she has served as a PhD and GTA representative in the Department of Film Studies. 

She is co-organizing the Spotting Red Flags Symposium on June 9, 2025, at King's College London, which is generously supported by the British Association of Film, Television and Screen Studies and by the Department of Film Studies, King's College London. She is also co-editing a special journal issue on "Fantasies of Europeanness in American Prestige Television" for Television & New Media
