Research interests
I am passionate about combining discourse analysis with socio-political studies. My master thesis focuses on the media presentation of Chinese international students. My past research also concerns populist discourses , self-presentation of 985 waste (losers from elite Chinese universities), and media presentation of ‘lying flat’ incident in China. One of my on-going projects focuses on discussions of Hallyu and masculinities on Reddit and Zhihu.
