Research interests

Gene expression is precisely regulated at the post-transcriptional level, which controlled by small RNAs and it’s binding proteins. The fundamental steps of mRNA processing or silencing have been characterized in great detail, but knowledge of how the disruption of these processes contributes to human disease has only recently begun to emerge.

I am investigating noncoding RNAs and RNA binding proteins, such as heterogeneous RNA ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs) and its role in neurodegenerative disease progress.
