Biographical details

Dr. Yusuf Beebeejaun is a PhD candidate and Consultant in Reproductive Medicine at King’s Fertility and King’s College Hospital. He earned his medical degree from King’s College London and completed his specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Guy’s, King’s, and St. Thomas’ Hospital Trust. He completed his Reproductive Medicine fellowship at King’s Fertility.

Dr. Beebeejaun is a Clinical Scholar of Harvard Medical School, where he completed a postgraduate clinical research fellowship. He also holds a Master’s in Healthcare Delivery and Leadership from Mount Sinai Hospital in New York and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

His research interests include systematic reviews, and network meta-analyses, with a particular focus on clinical outcomes following in-vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment and Pre-Implantation Genetic Testing of Embryos for Aneuploidy (PGT-A). Currently, Dr. Beebeejaun is collaborating with the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority in the UK to identify ovarian stimulation protocols that reduce the time to live birth for women undergoing fertility treatment. He led and completed the United Kingdom's first and only clinical trial on Pre-Implantation Genetic Testing for Aneuploidy (PGT-A) at King’s Fertility and is currently leading a global study in the U.K, Japan and India assessing how embryo aneuploidy rates vary in different ethnicities.

He has regularly presented his work at the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology and the American Society of Reproductive Medicine. Additionally, he serves on the undergraduate teaching faculty at King’s College London and oversees programs with the postgraduate School of Medical Education at Harvard Medical School. He is currently the Secretary of the Royal Society of Medicine for the Obstetrics and Gynaecology section in the United Kingdom.
