Abstract

Discusses the extent to which the growth of administrative review is a reaction to the increasing judicialisation of tribunals. Examines the need for justice in administrative decisions, the factors behind the expansion of such reviews, and their practical operation in respect of immigration and social security. Considers whether such reviews are effective, the implications of their expansion for public law, and how the system might be reformed.
