DVD booklet chapter on Adamu Halilu's film SHAIHU UMAR (1976). A milestone in Nigerian independent filmmaking, SHAIHU UMAR was considered lost for many decades. The essay is part of a collection reintroducing the film to a global viewership following its rediscovery and restoration in the 2010s.
