Abstract

The adhesion of pre-aggregative cells of Dictyostelium discoideum was found to be partly dependent upon the integrity of filopodial extensions of the cells. Removal of filopodia by cytochalasin B (CB) results in reduced adhesiveness in stationary phase cells. The relationship between filopodia and cell adhesion is discussed.
