N2 - Postpartum psychosis is a mental illness that is often misunderstood and stigmatized and can have a devastating impact on the women affected and their families, particularly when not identified and treated early on. The first-person perspective of experiencing a mental illness such as postpartum psychosis is remarkably powerful and can shed light on some of the hidden or misunderstood aspects of diagnosis, treatment, recovery, and getting support. With this in mind, we have prepared this interview from both an academic and lived experience perspective of postpartum psychosis, for clinicians, academics, mental health professionals, and members of the public.
