Abstract

This interdisciplinary project innovatively transfers sociolinguistic research methods into analytical tools for teaching and learning doctor-patient communication in undergraduate medical education. This is also enhanced by an interactive e-learning package. The new method may be used to teach other health students, for whom communication is essential.
