Abstract

Breast cancer is by far the most common cancer among women, both in developed and in developing regions. Worldwide, an estimated 1.38 million women are diagnosed with the disease each year, making it the second most frequently diagnosed cancer aer lung cancer (Ferlay et al. 2010). Among men, breast cancer is far less common, accounting for <1% of male cancer cases.
