Abstract

Brazil and India are major players in their respective regions and have significant roles to play in shaping regional dynamics. In June, we organised a conference titled ‘The South Atlantic and the Indian Ocean: comparative perspectives on regional security, peace and cooperation, and blue economies’ to hear from experts about the present challenges and future opportunities in both regions. Dr. Maísa Edwards and Mauro Bonavita dicuss the importance and contributions of this event.
