Objectives: This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (intervention). The objectives are as follows:. To assess the effectiveness and safety of brexanolone and related neurosteroid GABA_A positive allosteric modulators in comparison with any other treatment (pharmacological, psychological, or psychosocial), placebo, or treatment as usual for postnatal depression (PND).
