An edited group oral history examining how the issue of British agriculture affected the UK applications to join the EEC. No other work has focused on this issue in particular. It shows how the issue of agriculture was a consistent threat throughout the negotiations and how British policymakers - and EEC policymakers - attempted to deal with this issue.
