Abstract

Resilient defence supply chains are pivotal for operational and deployment capabilities. They are key in defence planning, national security, deterrence and sovereignty. Armed conflicts, pandemics, competition for scarce materials, shortage of (un)skilled personnel, and natural disasters, augment the challenges faced by supply chains. A quantitative assessment of existing supply strategies in areas of competed, congested, and contested logistics informs decision making. Information-driven decision support systems (DSS) provide strategies for more resilient, responsive, agile, scalable, and robust supply chains.
