Abstract

The overall aim of this study is to identify (1) the degree to which Joint Strategic
Needs Assessments (JSNA) consider rural circumstances when assessing the care
and support needs of their local population and (2) whether they show
that people in rural areas experience different care and support needs and, if so,
what they are. The review was commissioned by the Commission for Rural
Communities in order to feed into the Care and Support Green Paper (ref)
consultation process. It was completed between 3rd and 17th November 2008.
