Abstract
In both acute ethanol intoxication and in thiamin deficient glucose metabolism, previous studies have detected blood-brain barrier (BBB) and/or blood-CSF-barrier (BCSFB) impairment but were unable to assess their significance in relation to other changes in the brain.
