Abstract

In this paper, a novel compact ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna array is presented for microwave imaging. The antenna was designed to operate in the lower UWB band from 3.2-6 GHz. The antenna is characterised by its simple structure and a very low profile, making it suitable for multi-view imaging. The resulting array features very good mutual coupling between the adjacent antenna, which is below -20dB.
