N2 - Tooth bleaching is considered to be the treatment of choice for discolored teeth, provided the patient has realistic expectations and the teeth are acceptably shaped and intact. Tooth bleaching is noninvasive and less expensive than porcelain or composite veneers. It also has a place as a prerestorative treatment before other noninvasive esthetic procedures such as edge bonding and after tooth realignment. However, it can be unpredictable in outcome, particularly in the longer term as color regression occurs.
