Abstract
In Mexico, colorectal cancer (CRC) represents the fourth cause of death in males
and the fifth in females. It has been demonstrated that early colon cancer detection is a cost-effective strategy for reducing mortality; however, in this country, an organized colon cancer screening programme has neither been launched nor economically evaluated. This study aimed at analyzing the costs and benefits of implementing a simulated CRC screening programme in Mexico.
