Abstract

Introduction There is continuing interest in the UK in dementia diagnosis. From an individual’s perspective, in effect this means having a timely, accurate diagnosis, with a care plan and review, so that the person can benefit from knowing what is happening, receive care and support tailored to their wishes and needs, and treatment if appropriate.
