Abstract

In recent years, especially in English-speaking countries, the treatment of aggressive children and adolescents has focused on evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions. This article presents - separated by age groups - the best-evaluated therapy programs (e. g., Multisystemic Therapy, Functional Family Therapy, The Incredible Years) for this indication. Also, current research on implementation and dissemination of evidence-based interventions (e. g., quality assurance, treatment fidelity) for aggressive children and adolescents is discussed. Finally, perspectives for the implementation of evidence-based interventions in Germany are pointed out.
