Abstract

This paper proposes wavelet packets for use in ultra wideband communications. The pulse shapes that are generated are nearly orthogonal and have almost the same time duration. After normalization, an M-Ary signalling set can be constructed using these properties allowing higher data rate. Finally, circuitry allowing the generation of such sets of wavelets are implemented.
