Abstract
The Global Leadership and Organizational Behavior Effectiveness (GLOBE) program is a multiphase research study that measures and analyzes societal desired leadership, as well as both cultural values and practices. GLOBE developed and assessed six global measures of leadership and nine dimensions of societal culture, offering unique cross-cultural insights.
This entry presents the purpose, phases, and findings of the GLOBE project, focusing mainly on leadership aspects. The results of the GLOBE project help individuals identify, discern, and interpret traits of those with whom they interrelate, the cultural environment in which they interact, and the behaviors they exhibit to effectively lead. Takeaways and key insights derived from the multiple phases of the research are discussed.
