Abstract

Are mechanisms that attempt to hold corporate leadership to account effective in forcing them to operate more sustainably? Using Facebook as a case study Marc Lepere argues that if policymakers are to mobilise a startup-led innovation and private finance flows as the engine for future economic growth, then the next generation of founders need to start differently – reform is needed if they are to incorporate Environmental Social and Governance from the start.
