N2 - Digital interventions for depression are increasingly recognised as scalable treatment options, yet the selection of optimal interaction modalities and content remains challenging. This study systematically examines current digital therapeutic approaches, identifying nine interaction modalities (e.g., Mobile Apps, Online Therapy Platforms) and nine content types (e.g., Structured Information Interaction, Multimodal Instructional Interaction), each with distinct advantages and limitations. To address these challenges, a structured Digital Intervention Decision-Making (DIDM) model is proposed, integrating clinical evidence, patient characteristics, and practical considerations to guide treatment selection. The DIDM framework supports clinicians in matching interaction formats and therapeutic content to individual needs, enhancing personalisation and treatment efficacy. Future research should validate the model’s applicability across diverse populations and emerging technologies.
