Abstract
Loneliness in older adults is a growing concern, as it is linked to adverse mental and physical health outcomes. This study examines the relationship between loneliness and mental health in older adults and evaluates the effectiveness of community-based interventions in mitigating these issues. The review highlights the importance of community interventions such as social prescribing, group activities, and volunteer programs in older adults’ quality of life. Results indicate that these interventions significantly reduce feelings of loneliness and improve mental health outcomes. The poster will visually present data from these community programs and highlight best practices for addressing loneliness. The findings underscore the importance of implementing structured, community-based strategies in enhancing the mental well-being of older adults.
