Abstract
The chapter provides a new framework for using memory studies in relation to feminist theory and for the analysis of gender. It includes a new archeology of early feminist work, showing how memory and inheritance have been important within theoretical work as well as within feminist activism. It shows how gender is important within mainstream memory studies, as well as identifying emergent feminist theory within the domain of digital memory theory.
