Abstract
The scene of the rescue of the Chilean miners (2010) —multimedia and global entertainment— invites us to pose a series of questions about the intersections between translation, subjectivity, agency, and cultural mediations. Consequently, this article explores, by means of a translation process of Hispanic American dramatic texts in the English context, the possibility of transferring, through different territories, dense and significant cultural descriptions for creators, critics, and audiences
