Abstract
The chapter presents the field research results in the "Academia Militar das Agulhas Negras" (AMAN) - the military college responsible for the training of all Brazilian Army officials. I claim that, although young officials may have progressive views about the Brazilian Army, the institution still refuses to look back and to reflect upon their past mistakes.
