Abstract
Pharmacokinetics—the movement of drugs within the body—is a critical area of focus in geriatric nursing due to the altered physiological responses of older adults. This research presents a teaching framework designed to enhance nurses' understanding of pharmacokinetics and its application to medicine management in older adults. The study outlines key concepts such as drug absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion, and links these to common geriatric conditions requiring complex medication regimens. The framework was trialled in a cohort of nursing students, with results indicating improved competency in managing medication for older patients. This video will visually explain pharmacokinetic principles and demonstrate practical applications in geriatric care.
