Objectives: This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (intervention). The objectives are as follows:. To assess the effects of pharmacological agents or natural products for self-harm (SH) compared to comparison types of treatment (e.g. placebo or alternative pharmacological treatment) for adults (aged 18 years or older) who engage in SH.
