Abstract
None of the texts in 'The Unknown Socrates', edited and translated by W. M. Calder III, B. Huss, M. Mastrangelo, R. S. Smith and S. M. Trzaskoma, is literally unknown, nor entirely inaccessible to the general reader. They are, however, understudied works which have all too easily been dismissed as late, derivative, boring, and largely untrue. (Quotes from original text)
