Funding Information: For author JO, this paper represents independent research [part] funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Biomedical Research Centre at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and King's College London. The views expressed are those of JO and not necessarily those of the NHS, the NIHR or the Department of Health.Eleven participants were recruited from social media advertising (Facebook and Twitter, n = 7), online support forums for those affected by hoarding (helpforhoarders.co.uk; reddit.com/r/hoarding/; ocdaction.org.uk, n = 3), and charity organisations (Hoarding UK, n = 1). 3 dropped out before being randomized into the study due to confusion over whether the RIT could be completed using a tablet computer (it could not) and competing time commitments.Ethical approval was granted for the below described study by King's College London (KCL)'s research ethics committee (ref: HR-17/18–8229). All participants were emailed a copy of the participant information sheet (PIS) detailing the study, along with a consent form. All participants were given the opportunity to ask questions after reading the PIS, before signing and returning the consent form via email. Participants were aware of their right to disengage from the programme and drop out of the research study at any time.
