Abstract

2016 marks the seventieth birthday of the writer, playwright, and actor Emine Sevgi Özdamar. This special issue celebrates the work of this exceptional figure in German-language literature. By revisiting some of her best-known work as well as introducing readers to her lesser-known or as yet unpublished work, the volume also aims to foster the contribution of UK German Studies to Özdamar’s international reception.
