N2 - The synthesis of the oligosaccharides 6-O-α-mannosyltrehalose, 6-O-α-glucosyltrehalose, 6-O-α-galactosyltrehalose, and 6-O-g-α-mannosylsucrose, using appropriate glucosidases was optimized using response surface methodology. An empirical mathematical model was constructed to predict the amount of product formed under various conditions of pH, substrate concentration, and donor;acceptor ratio.
