Abstract
The authors discuss the developmental epidemiology of psychiatric disorders, and detail the two main analytic study designs currently used: cohort studies and case-control studies. Analytic methods in developmental epidemiology is presented and the application of developmental epidemiology to psychiatric disorders is detailed.
