This volume draws together a selection of papers presented at the ‘The Peoples’ War? The Second World War in Socio-Political Perspective’ conference, held at King’s College London in June 2018. The conference drew over 100 delegates from 17 countries across four continents. The papers presented in June, and the chapters of the collection, represent some of the most up-to-date and cutting-edge research on the Second World War and on war and social change in the Twentieth Century.
