Abstract
The study outlines the physical, behavioural, emotional, and cognitive signs of loneliness, exploring variations across gender, marital status, and the chronic nature of loneliness. It also considers related factors such as chronic fatigue, depression, and ageing. Although the sample aims for diversity, a limitation remains in the generalisability of qualitative research. Findings will inform timely, personalised support and contribute to the development of novel sensors to detect loneliness.
